Joann Bruce, 2017 SJLC Congregational PresidentSt. James Lutheran Church is a warm and welcoming community of faith; living in grace from God and grace for each other.  As you look at these pages, I hope you get a sense of all that God is doing among us. 

We have a vibrant music program and dynamic worship services. There is a wonderful school providing Christian education and after school and holiday care. But mostly we have people full of joy and laughter and hope, living in the grace of God.  We warmly invite you to join our family of faith.

Members 322 Baptized; 310 Confirmed, 23 Sunday School attendees. Our average Sunday worship attendance is 88 members. We are part of the Midlands Conference 6 of the South Carolina Synod (154 congregations) and in Region 9 of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) with 4.0 million members, 65 Synods, 8 Seminaries, 26 affliliated colleges or universities and nearly 10,000 congregations in the 50 states, Carribbean and U.S. Virgin Islands.

Services Sunday Worship at 10:00am; Sunday School at 9:00am.
A Nursery is provided every Sunday from 8:45am to 12:00pm. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at both services. A Communion Service is held every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Click here for our Visitor's Guide To Worship.
Facilities Situated on five acres, our facilities include the main Sanctuary, an educational wing, Fellowship Hall, and a newly constructed Library. Plenty of parking, too. Photos are available under the ABOUT tab above.
